HELP! Salary one and the same or dilapidated despite experience and spare skills..?
I don't know what's going on.. Here's a basic summary. I'm originally from the Northern Virginia area. I started my first opening when I was about 14, recreational working at a tanning salon cleaning tanning beds. (Glamorous, right? Hey, I was 14 and didn't strictness, I just wanted some pocket money for the cinema!) After that, I worked at my dad's department answering telephones, running errands etc. When I was 17, I started waiting table part time and working at a mortgage company part time as a receptionist and putting information within on loan applications.. I was making around $10 an hour, entry-level. I did this until I was about 19. After that, I did some work contained by basic procurement for the government, U.S. department of the interior.. I get paid about $15 an hour here and worked for two years. When I was 21, I moved to Philadelphia.. That's when it started going downhill.. For a long time I couldn't find ANY work. When I did, out of desperation, I took whatever take-home pay I was offered, which wasn't much. I started working as an administrative assistant and temping for about $10-12 an hour WITHOUT benefits. Less than I get in Virginia and as much as I had minus any experience. Fast forward a few years. I'm 25 now and turning 26 this week. In the past few years I've progressed from receptionist, to administrative assistant, to executive assistant and organization manager. I've basically run the whole office but my peak salary now have been $14. I have a college scope (bachelors in business administration beside a minor in humanities) and about 8 years of experience within what I do. I come to work everyday, I'm well liked, dependable, loyal, chalk up in the top levels of any trialling done at temp agencies as far as typing, MS Office skills, etc. I write fantastic letters, have written up HR documents, done hiring, firing, admonitory letters, made spreadsheets, bookkeeping, I know QuickBooks, created PowerPoint presentations, went to conferences, trade shows, done nearly adjectives the business correspondence for my bosses, done procurement, worked directly with clients, created marketing campaigns, designed post cards, brochures, mailers, updated websites, excellent at troubleshooting, principal computer repair, customers love me, well-versed in any manner of things around the organization.. Basically, I'm a Jill of all trades. So why am I not getting PAID more? I go on interviews and everyone is wanting to retribution less than $30k a year, usually with no benefits. Needless to speak, I'm struggling financially and the lack of health carefulness or any money going into retirement is a big weight on my shoulders. My one friend back within Northern VA with NO college and less experience, (and she even say she's not as smart as me, which is mean, but she's not generally as well-read, that's true, I wouldn't read aloud "smarter"), recently got an entry-level chore in HR with no experience and is individual paid 45k. My little sister who also had no experience get hired for a dentist's office as an assistant and is getting paid equal as me. I don't get it.. I'm really getting frustrated. I need to formulate more money. I am looking into going back to college to get a different amount in the future, but how can I up my earn potential? I've already tried taking additional classes in QuickBooks, Excel formulas, etc.. I'm purely really disheartened. My husband gets annoyed that I come back miserable from every interview.. I discern totally devalued. I'm torn between being insulted at being offered $10-12 near no benefits and needing the money. I feel close to I'm in a vacuum where I'll never escape. I don't want to be 30 and making below 30k, it's a joke! Is it common in the present day to earn less even with more experience? HELP! I'm also worried more or less my resume. It is starting to look shady with my work history. I've worked two places in former times twelve months. The first one was an IT company where I worked as an organization manager for a year and then I have to be let go due to financial reason where they had the operation manager do double duty. The other place I worked as an office official for a small construction company. That woman almost went bankrupt due to have too many credit card bills and not enough customers coming within. She let me go so she could hire her daughter who needed a work. The economy is so bad around here and I'm struggling to find a career to pay the bills. I'm just worried give or take a few my recent job history and how people will perceive it. I'm also worried if I maintain taking low paying jobs, if I'll ever get a available job that pays me enough because they always ask how much you get at your LAST job and base take-home pay from there. I don't want to LIE even though many do as far as remuneration but I have to work!

ok, this MAY sound like a dumb ask ;) every office says it wishes data entry skills and make it seem to be very important and difficult.. which i doubt... anyway, i've worked at a travel agency entering flight info on computers, i've worked at a store entering product inventory and info into the store computer. is this considered background entry? i saw on an application numeric and alpha numeric.. what does data entry usually entail?

Help.my employment agency is cheating me out of my money!?
I have had nought but problems ever since I joined up with this agency, the woman who get me the job where I am immediately was most informative and would always articulate to me that if i ever needed any help she would be only too jubilant for me to ask. However, she has now gone because she have apparently been promising ppl jobs including myself that be not even there and because of that the other people at the agency get her out. I thought this was strange, as she claimed to be in partnership next to this other guy, now its run by him and i presume his sister as they have equal surname, both of them are infact african (black) and do not speak very good english, their language rules and punctuation is appalling. Anyway, ever since the other woman went, there enjoy been nothing but problems, for eg. they claim to not be acceptance my timesheets which meant not being salaried on time, having no payslips for close to 2 weeks at a time as I am supposed to get paid weekly. Now, I know they be eventually receiving my timesheets but for some reason they couldnt be bothered surrounded by paying me. I have had to attain on to them pretty much every week to say I have not be paid and had no payslip and I only just ever got an apology from them when they repeatedly made these errors. They were rude whenever I did contact them via phone/email, he be the more arrogant of the two as I would be talking and then he would hang down up on me etc Last week, when I actually did get compensated on time, it was for the wrong amount, contained by other words they under paid me by lb3 so nonetheless again I contacted him via email and asked why this was? His reply was that they have put me on a wrong contract and were deducting my wages and that I had 2 choices, to go next to another agency or go direct with my company. This made me deem that they were closing down as were not doing so very well. I then replied by asking again why they had not remunerated the outstanding money, and why wasnt this put right a couple of months back to which he replied that they have have enough of MY rudeness and that was the concrete reason for cancelling my contract and that the business is fine and be moving to another premises. So I am kind of thinking if they are doing so well next maybe they wont mind paying me the money I am due. My partner thinks I should give it and not waste my time as it is only a small amount but I expect, why should they get away with not paying me what I am owed as it is my right and the principle. Also, I own a payslip to prove what should be in there and my hill account. What should I do?

Help: My boss desires me within on interview sessions for my position replacement.?
I notifyied my employer that I would be leaving my position at their company. This guy is such a mis-manager that he had me 1) place ad for my job position, 2) screen applicants, and 3) expects me to tag-team surrounded by interviewing candidates. Eventually, I will be training the chosen person, which I enjoy no problem with. But I do not feel comfortable next to being in on the interview sessions near these candidates. He is so used to having things done for him, or anyone constantly reminding of his responsibilities, I feel that he is just asking me to shoulder the management in this process. Is this a viable concern?

Here's a scenario, please sustain me comprehend this?
Well this concerned two workers placed to work in a firm by an outsourcing company. The outsourcing company is the one that draws up the paychecks. Worker #1 has be in the position a couple of weeks prior to worker # 2 starting work with the firm. After her 3 first months, worker #1 grasp a small increase for every hour worked. When worker #2 reached the 3months term, she does not receive any increase. She inquires into the situation, but though the hiring manager promised to discuss the matter next to her, this meeting get postpone over and over again. Worker #2 did not received an increase. I inevitability to clarify that both worker are females, 1 is African-American, the other one an European. They do exactly the same job. Work duplicate hour length. But there is that pay disparity between them. I've met worker # 2 (who's the African-american one) and she is pissed sour by this situation. she feels cheated and ask me for some advices. What should i tell her?
