How come people say you should not inventory fast food as job experience when you are applying for a current job?

What if thats the ONLY job experience that i hold...
and I am applying for a new job... Shouldent I schedule it as experience?
Or should I say I have no experience?

I suppose it depends. If you are applying for the job of a CEO then clich¨¦ you worked at McDonalds is irrelevant, and may harm your chances. As you enjoy no other work experience, put it down, and I doubt it would hurt you.

I would unquestionably list it as job experience, hurried food places teach teamwork and time direction skills. Not sure who told you not to list it, but they are lame...

I have never worked at a efficient food restaurant but it does count as experience. Besides, if you did well there, you'll hold a decent reference.

I still have my fast food experience on my resume (I'm 23 y/o). It shows I work okay with other people and can interact resourcefully with customers. Also, it shows I'm a loyal employee (worked at a custard stand for 6 years).
