When money is donated to the organization, some of it needs to step to the "overhead", right? Because in order to preserve the organization running, you need to hire ethnic group and pay them?

Some may receive a very small fee call an "honorarium" for providing professional assistance, but staff are the only ones who get compensated a salary. Depending on the non-profit organization, they may hold only 1 or 2 staff members.
