There are several RNs who have attended the Excelsior program. They are able to work contained by some states.
However, Excelsior is not recognized as an approved educational institution for professional nursing contained by some of the other states. There are some RNs who have graduated from Excelsior, passed the NCLEX-RN and worked as an RN. Then when they considered necessary to move, were unable to land a license as an RN in the next state.
Excelsior does not draw together the critieria of all the states, due to some deficiencies contained by the program.
California is an example of the states which will not recognize an Excelsior degree, and require the RN to return to university. There have been previous question related to this on YA.
Be sure to check the State Board Regulations, and also understand the limitations it may place on your mobility in the adjectives.
