If someone is surrounded by an nursing home and have no power of attorney? What strict will be contained by charge of her money?

My friends mum has been surrounded by a home for 12 weeks after being looked after at home. She was paying lb600 per week . She broke her leg and have not been eating so we want to bring her home. The problem is as the power of attorney have been lost some official is contained by charge of her money.
Question 1 Will they release the same amount of money for home care? As we want to eak out the money as long as possible can we income our own nurses or will it have to go through an agency.
Q 2 How do you jump about finding help through this tangle of burocracy?

What is the starting rate for RN's...

How much would I receive if I...

What make your friend put her mum to a home in the first place. Now she have broken her leg and has not been drinking which means her condition is bad. Your friend have a lot of questions to answer to the administer of the home who is also her power of attorney.

Can I still enter a nursing program...

Is this for the UK? If so, they can no longer appoint a power of attorney. That went out a couple of years ago. Now it has to run through the Court of Protection. Quite complicated, especially where there are mutual accounts, and the partner can't even get at their money. There are hefty charges for all Court engagements of money being requested.
If anyone was an appointee for dealing near DWP on this lady's pension, sometimes that can be taken as authority for that person to traffic with other money matters. If the woman is of sound mind, consult a solicitor to see how the situation can be rectified.
I enjoy assumed your question is for England. You mention Glasgow. The law may diverge for Scotland.
