Question for nurses:?
i am going into college this fall to get my bsn within nursing. however. i want to be a PEDIATRIC nurse. do i need to specialize in that, if so, how? or is it something that i can choose once i bring back hired on at a hospital? for example, when i get hired can i tell them that i want to work within pediatrics and thats where ill go and get placed, or does it not work like that?

What areas can I work in as an LPN that are lower stress? Right now I'm an fully fledged med/surg nurse and I can't take the stress anymore. Besides working in a physicians organization, or school where else is within? What about the nursery, what's that like? Our hospital doesn't own a NICU.

I am going to start working overnights at a nursing home as a CNA in July, I work 24 hours a week so overnights wont be bad. I am wondering what exactly do the nursing asst. do that work overnights? is it really boring? Any info. would be great! THANKS!

Hi, I want to know how long you've went to school for to become a Paramedic?&& be it hard, did you first take regular mat, science, etc courses? Is it recamended you know how to drive? Or you can enjoy a partner who drives and it would be alright if you didnt know how to drive or know reallying where your going because youd have a partner driving fro you? irecently became a pharmacy technician for walgreens and ive been mostly working the out skylight, it sucks. dealing with all those in the dark people and getting yelled at if their tablets isnt ready all the time. and so i dont get much time to fill, and since i dont find much time to fill the perscriptions, i am pretty slow. do any of you other pharmacy techs or even pharmacists out there enjoy any tips for me when it comes to filling scripts? how can become faster at it?

I am working as a nurses aide. I want to be a LPN or RN. My question is. . . should I do the LPN first and then if I still want shift on and get for RN? Or would I be smarter to just win the RN right away? I am open for opinions! Thank you within advance!

Question for those who work contained by the OR or surgery?
I currently work as a Sterile Processing Tech. (for about 6 months now), I'm soon to be taking a test to become internally certified. I've worked in a hospital (which I love) and clinics also. I've learned so much and am set to take it the next smooth. At the hospital I loved my job and was other excited when I got to actually run to the OR. I know in my heart of hearts that I want to pursue a occupation working around surgery. (maybe an OR nurse, surgical tech, CRNA, or a surg. asst.) How can I go about making this begin? I know I have the personality and the "smarts" to do this plus here is large demand for these jobs, but I obligation guidance?! Any suggestions or tips? Or personal experience?

i am starting my senior year of high school and i am taking this Nursing Class where on earth we go to the Nursing home and pretty much do the things that a CNA does. at the end of the year if we surpass a test we will get our CNA liscence. since i will own my CNA if i pass the test will i a moment ago have to go to a 2 year college to obtain my RN? and i heard they only adopt the highest GPAs or whatever within nursing school. will me taking that Nursing class this year help me win into nursing school?
