I have a background and point in Law Enforcement and worked as a police officer, in corrections, and currently financial guarantee. I have no passion for the work anymore, and procure annoyed easily. I am looking at Paralegal, but not sure if I would enjoy it or not? I like my law classes (criminal law) in arts school, but do not want to be a lawyer...Any advice?

I will report to you, as a paralegal myself, don't think you are going to get away from annoying empire. Your job will involve meeting, interviewing and trying to draw from them to listen and do what they are told, which can be very difficult and stressful at times. Some of your clients are more annoying then the incongruous counsel. Oh and you get to deal beside attorneys that can be extremely rude and difficult. Plus all the other paralegal duties, research, discovery, pleadings, preparing for trial, contacting and arranging depositions, expert witness, subpoenas etc.
I am just describing you what you do, I am not trying to talk you out of it, if you work for the right attorney is is actually a great work.

okay it seems to me that you do like directive,but perhaps pressure is putting you off or possibly you need a change. Try and pinch it down a step or two and find something that you feel comfortable with and set stride with. Paralegal is just as hard>but ive other believed in the saying "A amend is as good as a rest".Good luck with what you choose.
