Experienced Paralegal Applying for Entry-Level Paralegal Position?

I am a paralegal with about 15 years of experience surrounded by litigation but I am interested in applying for a job posting I saw for an entry-level workers compensation paralegal. Nothing I own done has been remotely related to workers compensation. I would grain more comfortable learning workers compensation from the beginning, from an entry-level standpoint. I could live on the remuneration being offered. How strange would my applying to this job look to the prospective employer? How should I word my cover dispatch vis-a-vis this unique kind of situation, i.e. experienced paralegal applying to entry-level paralegal position?

Just be incredibly honest and say that you are looking to change specialties. If anything, the employer would be jovial to have someone with your breadth of experience. With your litigation surroundings, I would imagine that you would be very prized to a worker's compensation practice. After all, they are not looking for a depth of experience, the fact that it is an entry horizontal position shows that.

As a worker Im getting salaried commission...
