How to become a better sale human being?

I work in a field where on earth I don't technically have to be the sales creature, but I do get the chance to do it once contained by a while. And lately I've noticed my boss being to some extent disappointed in how much I lack contained by that department.

I am not aggressive enough or confident enough. And I don't know any technique at all. I've never did sales, and I never done anything of that sort, so it's adjectives new to me. I even had no crash course or anything. So what exactly is expected of me, and I know I'm zilch right in this, seeing as I seem to capture less and less sale as the day goes by. It make me wonder if there are any techniques. I know have confidence is something to have, but I'm not sure if there is a mode to fake that.

I need like mad of help with this, and I really obligation to prove my worth. The boss is giving me three more months to increase my sales, if not they'll put me written duties. So is there anything I can do, any techniques that anyone can convey me about? Even if it's rehearsing with myself something that'd be okay.

Thanks!

How can I do any marketing if...

There are some books by Jeffery Gitomer, The Sales Bible, and The Little Red Book of Sales Answers. The library will own copies.

Basically, he says that people want to do business beside their friends, and with friendly people. So stop worrying just about making sales, and just stir out of your way to be friendly. Don't push stuff on people, lately help them buy the stuff they want. Probably the biggest thing you enjoy to learn, is to ask questions roughly what they want and how they are going to use your product so you can get them the correct item.

Dress nicely, smile close to crazy, and when you ask a customer "can I help you" really mean it. Just be friendly, and lend a hand them out to the best of your ability. Treat them like your grandma or your best friend.

CD sale revenue distribution?

books and other literature on selling could fill many libraries. the previous responses are good-I would append that no matter what you are selling, remember you are selling the customer a solution to a problem. no matter what your product or service is, society relate to what it will DO for them, not what it is. Listen to your prospective customers, and position your product so that it solves a problem for them or makes their life easier, better contained by some way, saves them money, etc.-what do it do for THEM.

example-i don't buy Tide because i want detergent-i buy it because i want verbs clothes. i don't buy an iPod because it's a cool little gadget-i buy it so that my music colloection is portable and i can take it anywhere. see what it mean? it's going on for my needs. make your product nearly their needs. good luck.

Where to gain a home base sale...

The first point I would suggest is to talk to your boss, express your concern, and ask for any suggestions and help they can afford you. Showing that you are concerned will gain points with the boss, showing them that you are truly trying to get better and draw from the job done, not just showing up for a paycheck.

Second, the biggest point about sales (and I used to be a within car sales formerly I joined the US Army) is that you have to market yourself. You are not selling clothes, make-up, home appliances, real estate, or anything that isn't you. If the customer isn't sure that you are going to help out them out, they won't help you out and open up the purse strings. If adjectives you are selling is the product, the customer knows that you are just within for a paycheck and not to help people out. I be extremely successful in car sale because I made people believe that I only have their best interest in mind (and then after months of getting salaried very well by making individuals pay much more than they really needed too, I decided to distribute something back and join the military). But culture thought that the only thing I care about at that moment was finding the right vehicle for them and getting them the best deal that they could possibly get.
Hope this help
