Marketing Major?

Typically, you'll involve some work experience under your belt prior to becomming a manager. A marketing rep may be within the sales division of a company, marketing/selling the products or services that a company represents or manufactures. A marketing rep may also be within the advertising department, working on ways in which a company can promote their goods/services to the public.

A common business or economics degree would be helpful within your job hunt. As a manager, I can make clear to you that I look at the potential of the candidate rather than his amount.

How older do you enjoy to be...

Management is more like a leadership type of work and Marketing requires more creativities. Ask yourself are you more of a chief and able to lead a troop or are you more creative, do you like to think of design to help business with the product promotion?

Then you should know the answer. Or you can look for a career that's a manager position in a Marketing firm.

Great Marketers will earn more than great managers. Great Marketers can also become great managers but great manager usually have a harder time being great marketers.

My direction would be to go for Marketing! Once I understood that I didn't hold to be good at anything but marketing for my business, money started to flow in resembling crazy! A good marketer will NEVER be without work or income and enjoy a much easier time finding their life's passion in what they do!

You will typically own time once you get to college to choose your specialty within the business program, FYI, but possibly this will shed some light.

Marketing is about positioning and selling products or concept, management is (I am assuming) about managing society and becoming a leader. I am in Marketing as my pen and am also a Manager. In business, people tend to start in an nouns and "move up" the ranks into management as they learn more nearly their specialty and prove their worth.

When I interview entry level people I don't focus as much on their undergrad specialty surrounded by business as I focus on the fact that they spent the four years to get the amount and that they are passionate about research more about marketing. If someone with no work experience tried to enlighten me they were trained for management, I would be more than for a while skeptical!

Good luck to you!
