My husband took a sales living when he hurt his back and could no longer do the physical labor he had be doing. In the 1970's he started his own company, selling to businesses, and succeeded at that too. As far as his aptitude is concerned, I've often said he couldn't provide me a loaf of bread if I was starving on a desert island. But his propensity is something else. I have actually have his customers call me and tell me they'd bought from him, and granted later that maybe they shouldn't hold. Never lost a customer though, once I assured them that he was for real, and we never have more than 3 or 4 bad checks a year come in, a lesser amount of cancellations than that.
