From what I hold read, MI has been hit extremely complex with layoffs, etc and you may not be able to find much work. Are you going to be going to college surrounded by the fall? Do you have any long permanent status goals about what you would close to to do in the future?

I aversion to sound like a recruiter, but enjoy you considered the military? I know that the thought of joining the military is a bit scary right now, but if you can survive a high score on the ASVAB, you hold a good chance of getting a communications mission, or at least something other than infantry.

My son coupled the USMC 4 years ago, fresh out of high school - spent most of the first year surrounded by boot camp and school, 2 years within Japan, most of the 3rd year in sunny Southern California and is currently on a 7 month tour in Iraq, keeping the computers running. When he returns surrounded by March, he'll be back in SoCal until his commitment is up within October. At that point, he will have gained much familiarity and training to easily transition to an IT position pretty much anywhere he wants to progress.

Don't join the military. The first thing they will do is ship you bad to Iraq. They don't have enough soldiers so that's where on earth they're sending them.

Just apply for anything and take any job that you can carry right now. Don't let pride obtain in the way. Go to community college and try to catch an associate's degree, then verbs to a state university and get a degree contained by something usefull like accounting, nursing, programming, graphic design, business, etc.
