is it legal? I didnt apply for it. And its considered overtime but everyday i go to work they report to me we cant get overtime. its mandatory punishment for not hitting your numbers in your hope. Is it legal to get punished for packed up overtime when they tell you too? in california state law? and do you have to go to work on your planned day off? is that permitted?

I applied for a position 3 weeks ago. I received a call from a recruiter to schedule an interview tomorrow. The recruiter call today to tell me to tell my planner that I will be interviewing for this position. In case im hired. Why did he really call to relate me this? I have applied and interviewed for two other positions with within the last 6 months and never had HR put in the picture me this. What should I think? What was the motivation?
