"Professional" versus Distinct Resumes?
I've since created a new journal of my resume that seems cold and no longer unique. While the content is solid, I have a feeling like I've lost the personality contained by the resume.
My question is (finally.. sorry..) would it be appropriate to submit a more stylish/unique resume to jobs that are set to have an informal job environment (eg google) or should I a moment ago apply with this "professional" cold looking resume to all job from here on out?
And when I say stylish/unique, I don't mean close to crazy, cheezy, or not clean. I just parsimonious, Arial-type font (actually Futura Book), colored name, slightly different formatting.. etc..
Thanks!
Hi, i am a software machinate. I...
If applying to the more "cutting edge" companies, after use your cutting edge resume. Makes sense to me.
The staid mature companies, stick to the "professional".
What you really need to do is keep track of both and your results. That road you will see where the most interest and what leads individuals to call you.
Good luck!
ps- if you have have many internships, the first place you should call are those companies. Just hail as up an old boss to say "hi" and grasp permission to use as a reference. If they have/know of a living opening your foot is already in the door.
I other tell people to appointment their references before ever sending out a resume, you would be amazed how tons end up back beside their old bosses, sometimes in bright businesses.
